Earl D. Stanton, 70, of 22 Birch St. Kennedy, died Tuesday (Feb. 20, 2018) at Warren Manor.
He was born June 30, 1947 in Jamestown, the son of Calvin and Marguerite Ellis Stanton.
Earl was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War.
He had been employed at the Resource Center as well as local furniture companies.
He enjoyed auctions, auto racing, antique cars, and hunting.
Earl is survived by his wife Yvonne Patch Stanton of Kennedy; three children: Calvin Stanton of Clymer, Ivar Stanton of Missouri, Marguerite Stanton of Louisiana; two grandchildren; three step-children: Casie Gunsolus, Audrey (Jay) Szata, and Carolyn Gunsolus, five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Sandra Swanson.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
Rev. Dodi McIntyre, pastor of the Jamestown Free Methodist Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral Home.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Earl’s family or the American Cancer Society.
