Dorothy F. Wilcox, 94, of 68 Ivory St., went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, June 7, 2016, while at home with her daughter, friends, and service dog Mel by her side. She was born Aug. 181921 in Frewsburg, the daughter of Guy and Mary Belle Davis Stanley.
Before retiring, she had been a school teacher for Frewsburg Central School.
She was a member of the DAR, where she was past regent, secretary for the DAR state conference choir, and member of Kidder Memorial United Methodist Church.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter: Linda Wilcox of Kennedy; three grandchildren:
Amy Perez, Rev. Daniel Wilcox, and Rebekah Wilcox; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rev. R. Leslie Wilcox, whom she married July 25, 1944; a son, Rev. Dr. Paul Wilcox; a brother, Frederick Stanley; and two sisters, Margaret Miller and
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg.
Rev. Timothy Phelps, Hospice chaplain will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on Monday.
