Frank J. Ellis, 73, of 18 E. Main St., died, Tuesday June 14, 2016 at his home.
He was born December 22, 1942 in Jamestown, the son of Joseph and Ethelyn Swanson Ellis.
Frank was a US Army veteran and retired from the former Blackstone Corp.
Along with his wife he currently owned and operated Main Street Memories, Antiques and Collectibles in Frewsburg.
He loved fishing, auctions, and refinishing furniture as well as playing the fiddle, accordion, mandolin, and his favorite, the banjo. He also enjoyed playing horseshoes and was a member of the Falconer Horseshoe Club.
Frank is survived by his wife, Sue Waid Ellis whom he married March 2, 1968, a sister Judy Ellis of Frewsburg, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents he was predeceased by his son, Frank J. Ellis Jr. and a brother Joseph Ellis.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Peterson Funeral Home, Frewsburg. Pastor Chloe Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Frewsburg.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Frewsburg American Legion.
